Just got mine the other day and was testing the motor out by just using battery leads from an 11.1 lipo battery. the motor clicks but i get nothing else.. any suggestions on what it may be? the fan seems a little tight but im not sure if this is normal on this plane or not. i can turn it ok but just seems a lil stiff.. im fairly new to electrics so maybe this is the norm. i do not have the esc as of yet but its coming soon. im using a 3s 11.1 lipo 740mah.. i know this plane calls for a 910mah but i dont have it yet and was just testing things out. any help or suggestions would be appreciated.. thanks

I know this is an old thread, but I ran accross this looking for some other info...

To anyone who may stumble accross it, what he did is a great way to fry your motor.

He assumed that he could just apply voltage to the motor and it would work fine.

You should never apply direct current to a brushless motor without passing it thru a compatible ESC. I hope you did'nt damage it.
