I'm pleased to welcome Jeff Green and the gang from MRC to RCU's support forums. If you have any questions about MRC and their line of products ask your questions here and discuss it directly with the company.

Great to see this ; as your charger's are a popular charger.

I've enjoyed the 959 , 969, 977 and 989 as some of my favorites and will have some questions I'm sure.

I've talked with support on the phone and by e-mail and have been real pleased with both th equipment and the service afterwards.

Thanks MRC , looking forward to this forum.

I have different sorts of batteries (NiCd, NiMH, AAA, receiver packs, etc.). Is there a chart on the volts, amps, trickle charge, cut-off stuff for my SB 989? I just want to make sure i'm charging my batts on the right specs.

Currently, I have 4200 & 3600 NiMH six-cell sick packs, 1500 NiCd six-cell packs, 1300 NiMH 5-cell receiver packs for traxxas revo, 8 AAA 2500 mAH NiMH batt for the controller, and one cell 1500 mAH for the glow plug. What could be the right charging settings for these batteries using the SB 989? Thanks in advance!

For the large packs they can all be charged close to their capacity's rating. 4.2 , 3.6, 1.5 amps.

For the smaller radio packs that figure should be about half of the capacity or even less. I'd use about .5 amps for all of them.

trickle charges can be anything from 0 - 1/10 of capacity for the large ones.
Small radio batts can be half of that.

Cut-off large packs nicad 10 mv /cell nimh 5 mv per cell.
Small packs nicad 6 mv/cell and 3 mv per cell for nimh.
