DX7 and AR6100 binding
I just got a DX7 with AR6100. The binding process listed in the manual is for the AR7000 and mentions LEDs changing when the binding is complete.
Since there are no LEDs on a 6100, how does one know that binding has completed?
Also, when I try to bind using the RX charge leads from the SPM9522 charger, the RX LED on the charger never comes on as it does when I am charging the transmitter.
Lastly, I am assuming that the brown (as opposed to orange) lead is negative. The manuals need some work.

RE: DX7 and AR6100 binding
To answer my own question and maybe help someone else with the DX7/AR6100 setup:
Forget about the drawing on pages 18-19 of the DX7 manual. Directly connect the bind button to the "batt" terminal on the 6100. Connect the throttle cable from the esc to the 6100 and plug the esc into your battery. The throttle cable supplies the power to the 6100.
An orange LED will light up at the top of the 6100. Now turn on the DX7 while holding down the bind button--the LED on the 6100 will begin to blink, then go out. Continue to hold the bind button until the LED on the 6100 comes back on solid.
And yes, the brown wire is negative and the orange wire is signal.
Thanks to the Horizon Hobby tech telephone line for this information.

RE: DX7 and AR6100 binding
They still have not improved the instructions on how to bind the AR6100 and the DX7. I just purchased mine and could not figure it out from the instructions or the Spektrum web site instructions.
This post laid it out perfectly and I was up and going in minutes. The key is placing power on the THRO port.
Thanks for posting this!

CutAndRun,
Thanks for the help. The instructions were exactly what I was looking for. Almost ready to fly my 6mmFlyRC Quick Build F22.
