Several months later...I had to leave on a business trip and also my friend which is working on the Falcon. But I think the result is good! We have started to replace all eletronics and etc inside. By the way, thanks for all of you that posted pictures of the setup. It will be very helpful since is the first Jet I put together!

Have spectacular flights!

Klaus

I have 2 of these falcon 120 jets. One is built with a super tiger 2300 in it with springair retracts and is a VERY FAST plane! The other I am going to set up with electric power. They do have flaps and are retract ready but come with fixed gear. GREAT PLANES FOR THE MONEY!!!

can you do this with nitro fuel?

Why??? Half a gallon of nitro fuel would fly you for an hour or more. I'm sure it will fly much better if you keep it light.

But... to answer your question... yes... it should work.

Yep... the 120 is nutz.

I have an AT-180... and I don't like to give it more than half throttle.

If you want to stay simple and reliable I would recommend Spring Air 101HD's.  Easy to set up with only one air line (air up, spring down), retracts come down if you loose air for some reason, and the retract package comes with everything you need (valves, tank, tubing, gear wires) except wheels and axles.

Spring air have certainly changed since I last used them, they only had wire leg options last time I looked, but the 900F set look just the job for the Falcon/Tornado, well spotted that man.

It was laminating epoxy of some sort, mixed 5:1 by weight.
Sorry but I do not remember the brand, or even the supplier.

how do you install the control horn on the inside of the flaps? (the back-plate)

Just make a indentation in the wood with a flat object to give it some clearance, or just press down on the flap at the horn position. If you hinge them properly i.e. close to the lower surface as possible then the clearance needed for the black plate and screw heads isnt much.

Hey Guys,

Any links for some cheap main struts for the Falcon or Tornado? I came across these but wasn't sure if anyone gave them a try?? I fly from grass as well.

Thanks,
Mike

Doesn't mater. They show -12 on their stock. So... who knows when they will get them again.

Looked at these before, going by the measurements they are a bit short, asked what dia the strut itself was but no one replied.
