I have 2 Falcon 120'S bought 4 or more years ago and all built and flown many times on a Wren 54, One bought about 2 years ago and still in the box. Because I am curious I just bought a 3rd one from Hobby King in the UK delivered for £130 The 3rd most recent one is ok but it is no where as good as my earlier ones. The fus is much thinner and not finished as well. Ok for the price and given that they now want £480 for the Tornado I think the Falcon is better value.

Hobby King's stock of Falcon 120s did not last long. Two or three days??
They are no longer on the site.
They can be cheap because they are for propellers, and fixed gear. The description included the words "prop" & "for glow 120" and we all know you can get a 120 two-stroke pretty cheap.

hi guy's
the hobby king falcon 120 is rubbish. the company that makes the falcon and the tornado
has not made the h/king falcon it's a knock off. h/king have knocked the decal sheet and
even photo copied the instructions. they even copied the white-orange and blue color
scheme the glass work is not much good either.i got one from h/king for a look it's not
something i would even bother to put together

I am finely getting around to putting my NP Falcon 120 togeather.  I bought it several years ago and picked up a PST 600R Turbine this spring at a swap meet.. I was glad to find that it only has 46 min run time on it.

We had a jet rally at our field this last week with 56 pilots regestered and I got a lot of good advice several there either had a Falcon or use to have one.  Everone spoke highly of them.  One problem I found to day is the wings do not fit.  The left one is ok with a small space at the rear where the wings mates with the fuse., but the right one lacks 1/2 inch.  The problem must be in the wing tube where it is glued into the wing. It would be easy to slot the hole in the fuse., but that would just make the left wing not to fit.  Has anyone else had this problem?  The only options I have come up with is to open up the wing and try to cut the tube out and re-aling it.  Another option is to bend the wing tube to fit, this would be the easiest.  But that sound like bailing wire and duck tape.

Trying to upload a pic of the HK Falcon. I had one before from Ausjets about 3 years ago and this one seems exactly the same quality or lack of as the first one I had. I am sure it will be as good a performer as the earlier one

grab the formers and give them a wiggle and see if they snap out, if you can spread apart the boom sides and the captive nut blocks fall out then they must be using the same flour & water mix

Oh yeah its the same flour/water glue alright just saying its seems to me the HK version is just as good as the older version I have. We have half a dozen at the club now and all seem exactly the same and when beefed up are great fliers

I agree, i received mine not long ago from HK Aus warehouse and it is no better than a peice of junk.
Fuse was rippled and unfinished, rear section was puttied up to cover up gaps and it goes on.
I was planning on glassing the wings and a nice paint job but i don't think i'll bother.
A friend of mine has one not from HK and it is a world of difference in quality.

All the 120's are the same size and in effect design. Some are just made better than the others

if I mount the engine center in the center of the "boulbious bart" of the fuse, spinning a 15x8 3 bladed prop, I think I only have 4 or 5 inches hanging under the plane. if thats true (i need to measure the length...) what retracts would you recomend..

Would think prop clearance would be a problem with a petrol engine, really a bit big for this plane, when you said super falcon I thought it was bigger when you mentioned fitting a petrol engine.
