hi leigh the T-34 is a good base if you want to rip out the electronics, the gearboxes arnt to hot either so most either put the metal gears in or replace with heng-long gearboxes (pretty involved work only one person i know on here thats done it well. take a look at the su-100 build awesome)

Ive got a T34, and I gotta say its a very good base to start with. Sure the electronics arent the best in the world, and metal gears will really help this tank move, but the tank is solidly built and looks great too. (But I like T34s anyway) If your looking for a tank to work on as a project, this is a great one to start with. Theres also many ways to improve it, like news electronics, batter battery...

You are very right about the T34, TankGunner, for the price they sell it for, it's a fun tanks to but together, I wish the HLs came this way, then you could glue them together alot better then they do at the factory and enjoy doing it. I have only weathered mine so far have the new electronics for it, but I thought I'd burn up the stock parts first just to see what it can do.

I like the WSN T34 ... the detail is good , you dont have to remove the tracks to open it ( like the HL tiger/panther ) ..

Sure the electronics is no fun , all the turret gearboxes are sounding like they are gonna brake down any second .. and its like a F1 tank in its speed ....

Im currently working on replacing all the electronics in my T32 to HL electronics ( the gearboxes too ) .... doing it a bit different than pscartozzi , but so far it seems to be working just fine ....I am currently working on getting the HL airsoft gun working and Im also is replacing the turret gearboxes to HL...
