I am intrested in purchasing a Lipo alarm / battery indicator / LED indicator for my CX2 so I can see how the battery is doing via a FlyBy.

Does anyone have a battery indicator / LED status display on the side of their 4-in-1 for a CX2.

I have found these:

can anyone post any experiences with them and pros / cons / recomendations:

http://www.tjtrc.com/Liglow.htm - 4 LED lights (strobe) / 2 nav lights / 1 spot with patterns that go from blink to steady when the battery drops below voltage.

http://www.voltmagic.com/demo_2R.htm - voltmagic 2R - (about $40) - seems awesome... easy to configure.. but maybe a bit overkill??? I doubt I will ever use the readout / CPU data information from a CX2

http://www.techmodelproducts.com/lgg1.htm - LGG-1 "Li-Poly Gas Gauge" Battery Monitor / The LGG-1 is a battery monitoring device that indicates the present charge level in a battery pack. It displays the battery pack's
charge condition using 3 LEDs that flash four easy to see and understand messages.

This guy sell a modified battery monitor for 16.99$USD. I ordered one from him, but I haven't received it yet, because snail mail between the US and Canada is somewhat unpredictable. (I wonder why they cannot predict how long it takes to send an envelope 2000 miles away by mail, while NASA could send people on the moon and bring them back with less than a 2 minute error almost 40 years ago, and all that with a computer that was less powerful than my wristwatch...)

It looks interesting though, and he was very friendly and the package was on its way in less than 12 hours. I'll keep you guys posted.

Looks like it's for a 3-cell lipo? Maybe you can clarify. The CX/2 uses a 2-cell.

You're right. My mistake. Sorry.

yeah, I've got one and it works really well. It also can tell you when your motors are going to burn out so you don't loose them in flight. Scott is the guy that sells them and he works on choppers with the military and has about 27 years experience.

Tell him that you want one for a 2s lipo and I'm sure he could build it that way. He actually builds them to work with the 3s lipo, and I bet ya he could make it for a 2s lipo instead, just send him an e-mail and see if he would be willing to do it =)

here's all the info you should need
