My Muggy in new clothes... Mugen JConcepts body, LPR Crimefighters(0 offset), and newly replaced steering linkage.. (It had developed an unbelievable amount of steering slop.. I'm really starting to think offset rims are just bad news... My Savage can't last a tank with them, and they just seem to lead to more and more wear and tear...)

Now if only I could get this Novarossi to run right...

Thanks.. LST yellow.. Bit stiff, but til now I've only ever really intended to jump with the Mug.. Now with these wheels instead of the offset and bigger Zombies though, the stiffness and high ride-height is more noticeable..

i have tons of scratches on mine, but it has never effected the performance, so IMO, it's not worth the $$$ for the hard anodized chassis

I would be willing to bet your engine would run a little better if you cut our your windshield and at least 3/4 of your driver side window.

meh, that only helps lower the temp. a few degrees when racing on a track, i don't think it's enough to notice any changes in the way the truck ran

Random question for ya guys. Does the muggy have reverse?

I'm thinking about buying one tomorrow because my LHS will do $500 out the door. HOw would you guys rate the muggy? Is there anything that I will NEED to upgrade or get spare parts of? I'm not someone that's into putting all aluminum all over my stuff, so that's not necissary. But, is there anything that I should be aware of? Also, is the tranny metal gears?

Muggy has one speed, no reverse. It does not have a transmission, it has a center diff, like a truggy. All metal gears in the drive train.

Muggy is hard on clutches. The only thing you might need durability wise is a vented 12T clutch bell, and dynamite max life clutch shoes.

Like he said, 12T bell, Dynamite shoes, AND some light truggy tires - like the ones off the 8T. Sell the Muggy wheels new and unused right away... This is a must IMO..

I just bought this from a dude who made it himself, to go a step further in the battle against clutch-destroying chassis flex..:

So, a short poll: who thinks it'll help? I've got an OS 28 for my Muggy. This will be the Mug's last chance I'm afraid.. Gonna run a 13T CB, with Fioroni clutch, and ultra-light LPR Crimefighters. If the clutch has any issues whatsoever, the OS is coming out, and the Muggy will either have to be sold, or, maybe I would just run a Mach or Axial or something cheap in it that I have laying around.. I LOVE the Muggy - it's a fantastic basher - up there with Savages, etc.. But the clutch issues make the fiddle-factor to high for MY liking anyway...

Does the tires from the 8T fit? My 8T has 17mm hexes. Doesn't the Muggy have 20?

Yea, you will have to get the LST2/Muggy 17mm hex adapters. They are like $20. I am running Proline Bowties with LRP wheels on my Muggy for extra lightness.

Okay great. How are the steering servos for the Muggy? I'm not looking to do crazy racing with it, more of just a screw around truck. If you guys use different servos, list the names for me so I can check them out. Thanks!

It comes with dual high torque servo's for steering. They are plenty for just messing with the truck. I still use them for racing.
