Dennis, which car do you run more now, the LST2 or the Muggy? I saw you did pretty well at the race at N Control. Did you run both the LST and the Muggy?

I race the LST2 everytime I race. I race the Muggy when I feel like it, but I do have the replacement for it. I have listed my tricked out Muggy racer for sale on lstforums dot com.

Muggy replacement..

I was second in the STD Monster truck class at Ncontrol in the ROAR Texas Summer Sizzler. Ncontrol RC is the best outdoor track I have ever been to....

The week before I was up for a club race and I attempted to run both. They had combined STD monster and truggy but they had too heats so I ran both!!! I was Dennis in one heat and Dennis JR in the second heat, I made both the Amain and the Bmain.

Nice, Xray XT8 truggy.
So are you really getting rid of the trusty Muggy? That's almost like you selling your LST!
I'd imagine Dennis selling his Muggy as a roller, maybe include the engine, but he's probably wanting somewhere in the 500-600 range, maybe more, considering all he's put into it. The thing basically needs some servos, and you can be winning races.
Anyways, let me know how that Xray truggy is, it looks sweet. I have a LST that is gonna need quite a bit of work, but for that, I got myself a Baja 5B.
Sadly, unless Paul allows us to create a 1/5 scale class at Ncontrol, I'll be stuck bashing her. I do love the idea of tug-n-play though. And a company is making a 2 speed for the Baja, so it'll be even faster.
I'm hoping that after I buy the LST2 upgrade kit, and a new engine for the LST, I can start laying down the smack on the revo drivers at our track. They seem to be getting a little cocky.

yeah, i think it's time i ditched my Muggy too. I dunno, the Muggy is too much for me....i need something along the lines of a T-Maxx...or a different MT. I break too much stuff on my Muggy for me to keep running it.

Well you should cross the Tmaxx off your list if you are worried about breaking stuff.... I got out of R/C for over a year because of a Tmaxx.

The reason you break so much on your muggy, is because of all the aluminum crap you have on there. I'd be willing to bet you good money that if you sold that muggy, and bought a brand new one, completely stock, you wouldn't be breaking parts nearly as often.
Take Dennis here for example: Both his LST2 and Muggy are stock except for the chassis, shocks, etc, that he replaced with better, lighter parts. I believe he's broken, what, 3 a-arms between your muggy and lst?
I believe he replaces a-arms, because he's worn them out, not because he breaks them. And even though he crashes, and flips, etc, he doesn't break parts, because he doesn't have heavy aluminum a-arms putting stress on other parts.
I can guarentee, that if you sell those a-arms on there, and replace them with stockers, as well as other heavy parts, you wouldn't be breaking that thing as much.
As for the t-maxx...... I think Dennis put it pretty well.
Savage, yeah it's tough, but I didn't like it's poor handling in both the steering, and the shocks. The thing turned like a slug. I could just get it to turn in a circle with my entire street as room.
And the revo? It's pretty puny. Compared to the LST, it's nothing. It's a little bug. granted that the suspension layout looks cool and everything, but it's really a pain to work on. You have to take the engine and pipe out so you can work on the rear of it. I remember how much fun it was getting the diffs out as well. I love it with the lst. 6 screws, and you can pull it out.

If you still have problems with the muggy, even if you replace those cursed aluminum a-arms, you could try a Jammin truggy. Those things are beasts. They can stand up to bashing like crazy

Um, i've snapped 2 front stock a-arms...i have YET to break or bend another a-arm since switching to aluminum. The only thing i've broken is the bulkheads, but that's because of the added weight of the aluminum a-arms...i break wing mounts alot, but that's my fault for attempting backflips off of small jumps. But the aluminum parts havent' caused me any trouble...but i've said in the past that i'm gonna get all RPM arms...

LOL! Only a fool would expect NOT to break parts when doing flips and stuff! I would not complain if I were punishing my trucks like that. LOSI has always been known to used rigid (brittle) material and tight tolerancing............Just the price you have to pay for performance! If it's flexible enough to be durable you lose performance! If it's rigid enough for performance it's not durable!

Just curious as to why one would race the LST over the Muggy???????? Has it got anything to do with poor gearing and clutch issues!
