After reading the post here on RCU I have decided to use Coleman fuel in my US Engines 25cc.

Do I need to use a gasoline rated pump with Tygon tubing or will a glow pump and regular glow tubing be OK? I am going to use a manual pump, not electric.

Thanks for your time.

Coleman fuel is very simular to "White Gas" - very hard to find anymore, and lower octane than regular unleaded. Use a gasoline rated pump and tygon tubing.

With being less octane, would some of the octane boosters help or are they not compatible with the coleman fuel?

I would try the fuel by itself first(with oil of course). I put it in my poulan 46cc conversion and it ran great. Actually seemed a little smoother. I read somewhere that the lower octain is actually better for the smaller engines like we use. I don't know for a fact but that is what I read.

What kind of power were you getting (prop & rpm)?

I'll have to check the rpm. My tach is messed up and I need to get another. I am using a 20x10 Master Airscrew. When I was using regular gas it would buck quite a bit at idle. The coleman fuel smoothed it out a little and it transitions smoother. It sounded like it was running just as strong at full throttle as with gasoline. Sure smells better if nothing else!

White gas or Naphtha found in Coleman fuel should work fine in a low compression 2 stroke engine.

It is running 7000 rpm. We put some regular gas in it and it was 6800. I didn't think it would have more power but I guess it did!
