JET MAN,

Excellent workmanship my friend. Looks like a runner. Any images of the front end? What are you going to use for a body? What's the wheelbase? If you've already posted this in another thread, sorry for asking twice. Link us there.

[edit] If you end up needing more wing, here's a link to how GMS mounts adjustable side winglets to its rail. http://www.grandmotorsports.com/dragster.asp You'll have to look closely, but it appears they attach to the chassis plate and don't hang off the body. FWIW, just in case. Not sure about RC jet cars, but RC rocket cars have a tendency to want to fly. [end edit]

Hi AHR43, The front wheel assembly is in the process of being built. Im sourcing the wheels first, and then the wheel assembly can be built. The main body will be made from a sheet of LEXAN plastic that will be bent and cut into the shape of the rail dragster and sprayed from the inside. The back wheel base will be 14 and a half inches wide ( FROM OUTER EDGE TO OUTER EDGE OF THE TYRES). Length from the back wheels to the front will be 6ft 4 inches. Im keeping this beast as long and narrow a possible just like the real rail dragsters. Cheers for now All the best JETMAN

How fast do you think this thing will go when built? And where do you buy scale jet engines for r/c purposes?

Check the other thread the first post has the name of the company. Its a pulse jet not a turbojet. A totally different beast.

Is it uncontrolably fast?

How much horse power per tonne does that dragster have?

It will have two speeds, fast and ludicrous. Two questions JetMan... How much thrust and what will it weigh?

hahaha. were all oggling that jet and he comments on the tyres

as for where to get them, you can make your own reasonably easily. google valveless pulsejet and look at the plans. the type he has is a valved pulsejet.

how much will it cost for the engine? cause you gould buy like a lehner 3060 or lehber 3080 for 600$ and a speed control for another 600$. possibly could save you money and get you more speed
