Foam in a parking lot is usually not recommended. Just cause they will wear out soon and they can chunk faster than on a track, but if you don't mind the wear, I would recommend a 40shore. Its a bit hard but should give you plenty of traction and not wear as fast. You might even consider a 45 all the way around.

hope this helps. If anyone else is using foams in a parking lot please chime in.

Thanks for the information. Most drivers in the parking lot series I race in, are running foams. Some of the very fast electric touring cars run foams. I don't think in the past they ran compounds that hard. I'll have to checj around and experiment. There's no doubt the parking lot can eat foams. I haven't had my nitro out this summer, but at the next race I will. Thanks again.

Anytime bud! As long as the parking lot is clean and free of debris you should be OK. At my track I run 37shore up front and 40 out back but you definitely want to ask around and see what works best for your track conditions. Get that car out there and tear it up, good luck!

37 and 35 sound familiar. In fact that's what I may have on the car now. I ran it yersterday for the first time in a year. I am old and that's what happens to the memory. I started it up yesterday and it ran well and idled well. One concern I have is ride height. The parking lot we race in is a little uneven and has some slight elevation changes. What ride height do you run?

225-240ish sounds fine.. How does it perform at those temps? Worry more about performance, of course dont over lean it. Alot of factors can change a temp read out. Mine runs at normally runs at 190-220deg but its winter over here at the moment and ambient temperatures are cool

Its a good idea to run softer front foams and harder rears.. The rears wear out alot faster than the front so its a good idea to compensate for it so all 4 wheels will last longer. I ended up having 2 front foams still good and my rear foams worn out useless.

Good advice HeLLsGoD! Temp. is a tricky thing sometimes, there are alot factors that have to be taken when you go with a final Temp. As long as your car is running well and you are not too lean is an overall good point to consider.

My ride height is set to about 5mm. Thats a bit low but the track I run at is pretty smooth. There are a few rough patches that I try to avoid but I sometimes hit them and bottom out. I have the HPI threaded shocks so I am able to raise and lower the car as needed. If you are racing at a track I highly recommend these. They are a bit pricey but well worth it. The manual recommends these as a direct upgrade for the evo and RS4 3 ss.

For now just use the black spacers to bring the car up if you are bottoming out too much. Just add more or use the really thick ones on each shock and that should raise the car up a bit if you keep bouncing off the floor. They should have come with the kit they look like this.

Thanks for the information. I found Hot Bodies threaded shocks for the RS4 3 Evo on Ebay from RCBoyz for $20.00 per pair. They looked pretty good. So, I am going to give them a try. I have been using the shock spacers. 5mm seems to be the standard for touring cars in general. What weight shock oil are you using?

Cool, can you send me a link, I want to see what they look like. Price seems awesome!

I use trinity 40 weight.

Gives me good rebound, I have noticed the car is a bit stiff suspension wise so Im thinking of going down to 30.

I don't recall what I have in there now. It's very common for electric sedan drivers to use 30 in the rear and 40 in the front. I went back and checked and I actually paid $18.00 a pair for the shocks plus shipping. Their regular web site is www.rcboyz.com. I bought the shocks from their Ebay store. Who knows, the shocks may be junk, but it's a well known brand name and Hot Bodies is owned by HPI. I onced bought some Hot Bodies cvd's for the RS4 and they didn't thread lock the set screws and they came apart. I contacted HPI and they informed me that they were discontinued, but they would send me new HPI cvd's. They did. Rcboyz usually ships promptly. I found some good prices on their Ebay store and their web site.
