Well I decided to go with this car for one reason, I'm new to straight line racing and didn't want to put a fortune into my first car. Anyway, I bought the car last week with the 25 amp switch but have decided since then that I would run a speed control and stick 4200 pack. (practice) I have a 17x2 motor and I geared the car 72 spur/28 pinion. For some reason this car does not act like any car I have ever driven, SOME KIND OF DRAG FORCE scary. Anyway, the car is super fast and the 8 turn I bought for it originally will be on hold for awhile. If 17turn is fast for me imagine the 8 turn whoaa. On to my review!

The car went together very easily. No problems at all my only real complaint about the car was the kingpin being held in by the axle with no clip. Hence the reason I wrecked it allready and the kingpin pulled out of the axle very easily. So I tapped the front axle on each end an added set screws problem solved. Though the axle will most likely bend next time. Would highly suggest getting bearings for the car as the bushings are little to be desired. The car is very true and tight and goes exactly where you point it. I would recommend useing turn buckles as well. The shipped linkage does not suit me. I used A hitec mini for the steering and was suffecient for this task. I did also get the Hitec hs 81 for the 25 amp switch. As far as setting the car to run, if you have ever run pan cars it is similiar just a different way of doing it with out shocks. The rest of these guys will have to elaborate. But, as for me had no problem getting the car down my make shift track other than the occasional wheel hop and the rear kicked out on me. I cant lie when I stomped the gas and that thing shot outta there like a bad outta hell I was hooked. You can't go wrong for a beginners Drag Car kudo's GMS

Ps.. buy the right rear aluminum pod.

Good review Jon. Are you going to post that to your 'My Models' page?

Now you need a place to race that GMS. Here's a link to contact Guy up north in Celina. http://imdra.com/phpbb/viewtopic.php?t=78

Looks like it's too late to make today's race, but they race again July 15th. Oh!, Good luck!
