I'm curious. I reread your original post, and it seemed like you were saying the entire collective seemed like it would jerk every now and then? The XP662 has been around for a while- has yours been in service long enough to need cleaning? I ask because it's unlikely that EMI would make all three servos glitch in the same direction.

The radios are generally reliable enough that there's a good chance that isn't the problem, but it came to mind.

That could be a possibility I got he TX used about a year ago. Don't know the hours on it. I would like to upgrade it but can't at the moment. I am trying to narrow it down some before I go replacing stuff. It's still fly's good but it will get your attention.

Well don't go replacing something based on that- I was just musing. It it really is the collective jerking, it could as well be something sticking, and that is a lot more common. Only one or two servos jerking could be a glitch, but all three is doubtful.

One other thing is I can't get it to do it on the bench. I benched it with the pinion meshed and not and nothing. Could a bearing cause that much noise? They seem fine upon inspection but thats not at speed.

A bearing going south on the motor can generate enough noise to interfere with the radio, yes. I just about killed my King from that. I don't know about the others- they don't turn nearly as fast.

hey Os....the hs65hb is not a direct drop in for the titan. I want good servos like the 65hb on cyclic. it just need a little trimming...should i just sand it down alittle and make the 65hb fit or should i just get someting else. now i have 3 extra 65hb's.

If I already had the 65s it would be a no brainer for me- I'd do the little bit of trimming. Many people have used them and had good results.

well ...its because i suck at sanding things down to fit. i have a dremel ....but should i just use sandpaper? i just dont want to screw up the servo trays. i better pick up another set so if i screw up i have a back up.

If I recall, people were just filing it. You can get a mill file at the hardware store and take it slowly. Just take one swipe at a time with the file, and do exactly the same amount on both sides of the mount.

If you're really concerned about it, the Futaba S3107s are a straight drop-in and work great. That's another $50 or so to avoid some filing, though . The S3153 and S3156 are also drop-in fits, but though they're fantastic servos (the 3156 is the best IMO), that's $130 or so.

I gave my 23 year old daughter at UGA a stock mini-Titan canopy to paint, and this was the result. I thought she did quite well!

I did the flybar system cuz when I first got it I was messing up the upper mixing arms with even light blade strikes. But you will probably get a different answer from everyone. (http://www.eboyztoyz.net/index.php?op=showitem&sku=8971) here is a link when you start shopping and comparing. Had good luck here pricing good ship prompt. It did smooth the head out considerably.
