finally figured out my problem. the tail wag was due to the gain at 100%. forgot to set that after binding and data reset. shes flys nice. i do see some vibrations but it must be the blades are out of balance and cant withstand the power of the lingo 9. ....first upgrade coming is the dx6i and radix carbons. what headspeed is safe for the plastic head? i may have too much motor for it right now. according to the headsprrd calculator i have 2930 rpm with the current setp. and thats with the 10t pinion ...if i threw on 11t my headspeed is 3250

Glad you're having fun with it . I don't think I'd push much more than 2700 or 2800 on the plastic head, though it is pretty massive compared to some of the others and the Radix blades are nice and light.

I noticed my piro on this heli is real slow. is this normal? my mars could do 6 or 7 piros before my titan will do one. i have the hs65hb on the tail right now. i have one hs81mg that i used a couple of times before i got the 9650 for tail servo. do you think the 81mg's will work better than the 65hb's? i placed an order for the logitech gyro. probably get the 9257 tail servo for it later. when i get the dx6i i will start fresh with both helis (mars and titan)and leave the dx6 for the trex. i like the look of the jr 770 gyro.

Piro on the MT is pretty respectable. The Gazaur may be faster, depending on how they're set up, but it shouldn't be just meandering around the circle.

I use the 401 with a 9257 on mine and it spins pretty well. It and the Gaz have GY401 gyros.

perhaps the 9257 is what i need to increase my tail power. the mars doesn't need a great servo on the tail to be responsive. the hs65hb work very well with it. not so with the titan. that might change once i put the logitech gyro in.

The tail on the Gaz is a very nice design- I had a 3154 on it for a long time, but it always made me nervous so I swapped it for a 9650. Most 450s are happy with a stronger servo on the tail, though, at least mine have been.

oh yeah. i carefully cut out the plastic on the blades and trimmed the cover to the canopy. so now my titan is all set up with stock equipment.

current setup is as follows.

lingo 9 4400kv motor with 10t
hobbywing 40a esc opto
castle creations 10a bec
hs55 on cyclic
hs65hb tail servo (temporary till the 9257 arrives)
key-tech hh gyro. ( temporary till the logitech arrives)

I took the mini titan out today with a friend who also flys. on the first pack i pretty much hovered around but on the second pack i hit the idle up and really took her for a spin. flys beautiful. . i did one flip and one roll. . not bad considering the hs55 is on the cyclic. my LHS have the hs55 for 10 bucks apiece.

that's funny- I started the Gazaur out with HS-55s because I had them on the bench. Worked ok for first flights, too.

the hs55 do buzz brand new out of the box. i just plugged them in the receiver not attached to anything and they buzz. not too bad and they go away and come back. no big deal because they are performing well at this point. they'll probably strip easy with even the lightest of crashes. no big deal there either because they're only 10 bucks. i got six ready to rock and roll.! . so yeah i'm gonna bring it with the titan.

LOL, I didn't manage to strip any, but I've heard the stories. For the price, hey- a gear set for the 3153s costs almost that much.
