Status: offline 		I have a "feeling" that Barracudas review is pretty good stuff. Lots of detailed setup info explaining the little details/issues you will come across during the build.

Devens:

I shimmed the elevator servo forward a bit (I think you only need to do this with hs-65s as the mini titan was designed to accept ace's 1016 servos if I remember right. The two aileron servos I left alone, some have shimmed them but save the work it works fine without doing so.

If you use the s9650 you will either have to use the Align ball and link on the servo (stock mini titan rod and ball/link on the tail rotors slider is fine). The s9650 servo horns have holes in them that are too large for the mini titans hardware to thread into. Or, you can do a little grinding work on the back of the futaba horn and attach a piece of horn cut off one of the extras from your hs-65s and attach it by using it as a plate behind the 9650.

Most have used the round wheel from the 9650, I used the regular 4 way horn and cut off all but one of the tabs. Threw on an align ball and it was good to go.

Is the rudder servo the only place the Align link is needed or recommended?

It depends on the servo you use for the cyclic. I used HS-55 with the large four arm servo arm. The holes were too big for the TT links so I changed them out for Align links. This is pretty common. The TT links are not a standard size.

Status: offline 		As far as I have seen the TT links are smaller and a bit less sturdy IMI. They are also a different thread size (smaller than the align) so without drilling out all of your holes you really can't simply swap to the align links unless you use one of the smaller screws from the TT kit on the align ball which is probably not reccomended.

Other than the tail (which probably wouldn't be an issue if we weren't dealing with the 9650) unless you swap out your head or feel like going a little crazy opening up all those holes, you will be fine with the standart TT links.

Status: offline 		Just swap one end on the linkage rod. The servo gets the align ball and the swash keeps the TT ball. The threaded rod used for the link is the same size on both brands.

Status: offline 		Servo mounts on the MT don't line up with the Futaba s3154. There is not much room to drill new holes. You would think there would be a standard for servo case size and screw patterns. Maybe I should have selected the Hitec servos.

Status: offline 		My solution to my above post was to cut the tabs on the servo so that there are slots instead of holes. The slot goes all the way to to edge. Now to cut some mini servo screws to length.

I have read your Mini Titan's great review, it looks to me that you are enjoying this new heli and have set a side the Trex, I d' like to know which points do you consider better on this Mini Titan over the Trex, I deducted that Mini Titan has a bigger span among both worlds (beginners and 3D Pro performers)

Got a question concerning some slop/play in my MT's head. Do me a favor, grab your head up top by the blades and then grab your gears down bottom. Now twist the two opposite each other back and forth. Does it feel like the main shaft is turning in the gears slightly? I am trying to figure out if it is normal or if this is limited to my heli.

Crashed it last week and put it back together but I am having the tracking issues now and have noticed that I can grab the head and twist it in the gear with everything tightened down and assembled per the manual.
