A stock MCD Baja 1000 or a hopped up HPI BAJA 5B?

I want something durable and reliable and easy on the fuel money. Will use mainly at the beach and desert with a little bit of jumping.

I like the idea of 4WD but the HPI BAJA seems proven in everything i want in a gasser.

Please help me in my decision.

i own a FG MB but if i had the $ i'd go for the MCD Baja 100%
but either of your choices youll have a great time with !
i guess it will boil down to what YOU like , also if your budget is 2000,00 its going to be tight $ getting a MCD running with that budget after electronics and engine, pipe .
Good Luck With Yuor Choices

Dont Forget about grabbing if you dont have one a good radio !
and if you can afford over the 2000,00 then Go for it , i was under the impression that "might" have been total budget .

Hey for a $2000.00 budget i would advise you to buy a HPI Baja 5B for $950.00 then buy a 29cc head kit motor package with 2mm stuffed crank and jetpro pipe along with pullstart filter and air filter for $399.00 from Oneill Bros.
You can spend another $200.00 on upgrades and other goodies and still have $400.00 left.

Here is what you Get!
MCD Racing Baja 1000 Pro Truck
29cc Stroker Motor with Black Covers
Heli Style Muffler
CAT5 Cone Filter Kit
Hitec Aggressor Radio System
2-Hitec 5745 for the Steering
1-Hitec 755HB for the Throttle and Brake
Hitec On/Off Switch with charge Lead
Hitec Y- Harness
Venom 6 Volt 3000 mah Battery Pack
Du-Bro Aluminum Fuel Filter

is this the rtr package from largescalerc.com if so sounds a good deal only thing i would change is the heli style muffler to a jetpro pipe polished or black and i would get them to include both a outerwears air filter cover and a pullstart cover
