Status: offline 		Yes Ben there is a very easy way to tell on the first generation Genesis the end of the spur gears(the large gears next to the small gears on the engine) did not have the support brace they do in later versions. Also the T-bolt used to be just a nut, look at the pic below to see what I mean..

if you a the brace and T-bolt then your is the 2nd gen or later.. aslo is yours an LE version. if so then you should be ok they were the version before the GST but not the nemesis version.
