Attached are several pictures of the new fully composite Fliton Element 170. I think you'll all love this plane!!! Details on the plane are as follows:

Two versions (electric and glow), adjustable stab incidence, adjustable main wing incidence, 2-piece main wing and horizontal stab w/carbon tube, carbon/fiberglass/balsa sandwich construction and all painted. You may get to see the plane at the Nats... piloted by a top pilot!

Contact Fliton for more details:

If it's around the cost of the Integral it's definately a candidate for next season's plane.

I like that they made the wing and stab adjustable (unlike the Integral).

Derek

Can it accomodate a 2C and tuned pipe? Looks like a short belly pan like the integral.

Are the wing panels also composite?

Any pics of the internals?

I just noticed the address of Fliton. I work about 5 miles from their office. I think I'll have to pay a visit. I'd like to see this one.

Is there any more news about this model ? There doesn't seem to be anything on the Fliton website yet.

I just talked to Edson, and the quality will be on par with the Japanese models, but priced competitively.

I talked to Fliton today. The price has not been set as yet but they said it
will be around $1700.00 --$2000.00 . Delivery time estimated to be 2-3 months. They
said some modifications to the prototype are in the works. Composite fuselage,
balsa sheeted foam wings, no film...entire airplane glassed and painted. Should be very
high quality.
They will post all the information here on RCU as soon as it is available.
