Well, it looks like it came with a Futaba T6XA - I don't believe that TX will work with eCCPM - I have one and bought a 7Ch because you can select the swash types. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I'm right. Unless it's a T6XAS, which I believe DOES have swash type settings.
That sucks! I hope I can use it? Any one know for sure?
Angelo
Well, it looks like a T6XAS, so I think it will work. Make sure the swash type is SR-3 or HR-3 (same thing, just named differently on different models of Futaba TXs).

Yippiee!! Got my HDX450 finished today, and did some test flights in the back yard. Some pics of my heli included.
First thing, I could NOT get the tail to hold steady, kept wanted to yaw left. Took a closer look, and the darn pulley on the tail shaft was loose as a goose!! Put some locktite in the holes and screwed it down tight, removed all the rudder trim I had added, and viola! - holds nicely!!
Man, what a difference from my AxeCP - I immediately had more confidence (plus it helps when the heli stays where you put it!) I will never regret this upgrade!!
The AirThunder 2200 barely fits in the canopy - but, it won't go anywhere!! Got a cheap Art-Tech HH gyro on it, I figure if I need more, I can put this on my Axe CP, and get a better one.
On another note, I can't get much pirouette rate - what adjustments do I make to get it to spin faster (either way!)
EDIT - Well, it spins faster to the right than the left.

Does the T-Rex feathering shaft fit the HDX450?? I bent mine (on grass, no doubt!!) and I thought for sure I had ordered spares, but apparently didn't!!

nice pics . good color choice for the canopy. will be easy to see. i see those copterx helis with the blue canopy and wonder how your gonna see that on a nice sunny day. haven't finished mine yet, still waiting on the dx6i. what tx/rx do you have? also, i think the feathering shafts for t-rex will fit if you have a LHS. just take the old one with you to make sure. i'll make sure to check the tail pulley again.

What size hex screwdriver do you guys use for the frame screws? The allen that came with the heli wore out fairly quickly and didn't seem to be the right size anyways.
All screws in this kit seem to strip very easily, I've had to use a pair of pliers more than once to remove them.

i had to try 3 or 4 different allen wrenches before i found one the fits. and it's still not as tight as i'd like. ticks me off to cause i bought a real nice little driver set from costco and the allen in it is sloppy. it's 2mm i think. don't know if you have a ACE HARDWARE near you, but they have a good selection of really small screws in the one by me. i might change them out to phillips.

KEEP THE PICS COMING
Futaba 7CHP/CC Berg 7P with the USB programming cable (also works on my CC35 ESC)
The paint was something like Autumn Maple Metallic - got it at the local Hobby Lobby.
Someone else said the HDX feathering shaft is longer than the T-Rex. Man, all the extra parts I ordered and forgot those! Oh well, ordered 6 last night.

I believe they are 2.5mm. I went to Frys and got a nice kit with about 30 different small bits for $16. Also, did you see my post with a link to a site that sells complete stainless screw sets for many helis, including the HDX??

My HDX 450 had a problem this sunday but fortunately without consequences. I was flying it around without attempting any aerobatics and it was around 25 meter high when all of a sudden it started to spin. I was thinking to myself, that was it this bird is dead in a matter of seconds, well I was wrong, to my surprise it landed smoothly on the grass. After further inspection it was found that the tail drive gear front shaft has broken. The day before the heli shook because the main blades were not tracking properly, I fixed the problem right after I found it but I don't know it the breakage of the shaft has anything to do with the trembling of the heli. Can someone shade a light on this?
