I am putting the final touches on my 450 and I noticed something odd. The main blade grips, only one moves as the swash moves up and down. If I rest my fingers on the fly bar then both will move(twist) as the swash goes up and down. Is this normal??? THe rest of the head parts seem to move freely, the linkages are the same length, whats going on???

Any help would be great

Austin

This just means your flybar is tighter than your blade grips. Once the head is spinning, it should work fine, as the flybar will try to stay level.

Thank you Trumpet. My luck sucks today, I took it out to spin it up and at about lift off speed the tail wobbled like hell. Took it in, noticed my 7CHP had the gyro inhibited and it was in std mode, so I switched the gyro setting to "on" and gyro mode. Now when I try to spool it up, the motor just twitches!!!!!!!!!What have I done!!!!!

Update: For some reason the motor works like normal now, actually got if off the ground and hovered it for a second, now for the final touches!!!!

Hey that looks great sambo! I bet that will help with orientation.

I'm waiting for my next order from helidirect to snag one of those green and blue and white plastic canopies, can't wait!

I flew three batteries at the park today, and boy does that canopy help orientation A LOT!! It makes it really easy to distinguish between the objects in the sky and the heli itself. It looks beautiful too! I'm leaving the country on Tuesday and I won't be back for at least 8 months, so I'm packing the heli and bringing it with me. Hope the heli goes through the travel without any issues.

I changed from gov mode on my CC35 to fixed end points and flew 2 batteries (2200s) yesterday. I stopped flying when my timer went off at 7 minutes which was about all I could get out of them in gov mode. Both batteries only took 1396 on the charger, so I will difinitely get longer run times set up this way. Still trying to get the throttle curve to feel right.

What curves are you guys running in normal mode and st1 mode?

Started raining before I could fly tonight, I was going to see how long I could get on a battery now. Hopefully it will stay dry tomorrow evening.

ok, I have yet another question. My tail servo seems to have too much throw. When giving full stick input the slider gets pushed against the tail case or the tail blade. I am supposed to stop this with end point adjustment right? How do I do this? I tried on channel four but it doesnt seem to make a difference

Went flying in 15mph winds today, tough but fun, good practice that's for sure. I think I will keep the CC35 in fixed end points mode for now. Here's a pic of my HDX450 in the wind today.

Can anyone send me the measurements they had for the links in the head? and where they measured from? "like the center of loop or end to end" I am in the process of gettting the head dialed in so that its level but a good idea of how long they should be would be of a great help. Thanks

Matt

My MegaPower battery Puffed up today, I think its because its hot out here(100* plus). Do you use the batteries after they puff if the swelling goes down? Are you guys still having luck with the Hextronic batteries?
Second, my tail wags in a hover. I am using a 401. I know I should adjust the gain, but when I turned it down it seemed to make no difference. what should I look for? My tail servo horn is 90*, my limits are set, no binding...what am I missing?

Some day I'll get this thing sorted
Austin

Thank you
