Well yeah, kinda. The Dominator is basically an upside down Daggar fuse so you can tuck the Rudder servo inside. I just sit my rudder and elevator servos side by side on my daggars.

YEP!You can put gear on any of the SPAD line, but on planes like the Dogfighter, GPS planes, Bulldawg, etc, it would be more trouble than it's worth.

Try it and fly it!

I laughed my tail off the first (10) time(s) I saw that. I felt bad for the owner, but saluted the SPADacity it took to even try that! Did you ever perfect the SPAD/rato/float combination?

Ya, but why would you want to watch a succesfull launch? Which is probably why I don't have any video of good flights, but I still have that one of a bad one. Should have seen the test flight, all that stuff was rubberbanded on that version and on wet grass it would scoot off. I got up and thinking I'd need flapperons, found out just how flat a spin you can get the plane in from a couple hundred feet with floats too far back and flapperons on. It landed fairly flat. I went out, scooted the floats farther forward and took it to the lake. It was still a tad back as you can see in this video. While I had the thing apart, draining out the water, I moved the floats even farther forward and it flew pretty good after that though those floats are a tad small. I made bigger floats for a 60 sized one, this would be '2' which was my backup Dagger with a rudder and a bigger wing. Those floats I cut too big and the frontal drag on the buggers made landing a quarter throttle affair. On one final a guy cut in front of me making me go around. 200 feet up again the motor ran out of fuel. I made a vertical decent but even then you could see the plane slow down. When I added elevator to flair the plane pitched up but continued straight down. Landed flat on the gear and we had to take the boat out to get it. At least I didn't have to drain it that time.

I haven't had a chance to line up with another float fly though I have a couple coming in the fall and just missed one. I'm going to get some of those blown up floats, stick an RNAF wing on a Dagger and go fly. It'll be great.

The only down side to the SPADs on water is the planes themselves do not float, they sink fairly quickly if you don't keep the floats hooked to the fuse. More than once all you could see of my planes were the float bottoms. Take a can of air or a air bubble out and shoot the air through the flutes to blow the water out of the wing. Blow the reciever out and any servos that aren't in balloons and back in the air we went. 4 or 5 times a day. At home I hit it with Electrosol and blew it out. No lasting problems.
