I've had the Laser 200, Extra's, YAK's, etc. I'm looking for a plane I can stick another G62 in. Show me some pics of what you have and why you like it so much.

Here is what I have....Extreme Flight 88 inch Yak. Why I like it so much......16 lbs dry, 7800 on CF pipe with Vess 23A. Floats like a butterfly, 2+ to 1 power to weight performance.

The airframe is sturdy, the 50 cc presents and flys like a larger airframe. I also happen to be partial to the red sceme.

rdb127,

Nice looking plane. I guess I should have posted a pic of one of my planes. WH Extra 300LX with a G62 that Ralph has tweaked on.

Nice looking Extra. Ralph does good work, I really enjoy my G-62. Startups are easy and consistent, power great too. Used to be you could find them on Ebay or RCU for around 2-250 but suddenly they are popular and a used one goes for 250 min.
One question, how is your idle? My idle shakes the airframe pretty hard, have had different props all ballanced. I usually run an idle up switch for flight that takes it out of the shakes except for approach to land or approach to a pop up hover.

Richard

rdb127,

My G62 idles around 1800 rpm and it does shake a little but I keep the idle up until time to have some fun. I was running a XOAR 22X10 prop at 7000 rpm but I have switched to a Top Flite 22X6X10 prop 6400 rpm. The prop is half the price of a XOAR with just as much pull and it makes a really nice high pitch sound in the air.

How about a Wild Hare Edge 540T? I'll make you a good deal on mine, airframe only in perfect condition. Semi custom covering, carbon wing/stab/tailwheel, wing bags, etc.
PM if your interested.
