ORIGINAL: ELITE913 i was thinking of upgrading vista and i heard that Microsoft is slowly working out the bugs. i was running the system check for it and it said it would work except it said that my video card might not support windows aero. what is aero? can i disable that function and still use vista? my video card seems to work well with games that it doesn't support. i just click the "run anyway" button. will i still be able to do that with vista? my computer has an intell mobile 128mb graphics card (NOT upgradeable as it is integrated onto the motherboard), 2GB of RAM, 120GB hard disk, 1.73Ghz processor. unfortunately MS is slowly still working out bugs in 95, they do this by presenting another buggy OS and call it the next best thing to sliced bread, unfortunately we sheep keep believing them, time after time, if you really want a system that works get a Mac, IMHO your present processor is marginal for Vista, the video ram is also marginal, good amount of ram, you are looking at a new mobo, which means the processor probably won't be usable, and of course the video now needs to be pcexpress or some other expensive variant, you will probably find that in the long run, $1600 on a new Imac with OSX Tiger on board will be a better bet, the new Leopard OS is coming out in October which by all accounts will put MS in the shade, and it will work. Please don't ask me how i know this, I used to believe in MS
