I think they are relatively the same, but it's the receiver/antenna set-up that makes it. There are two main receiver modules LAWMATE and AIRWAVE that are proven for FPV. I tried both and they work pretty good. I am leaning a "tiny" bit toward the Lawmate though because of the slightly richer color results I've seen in the air. Future hobbies, Range Video, Hobbywireless, Black Widow all sell Lawmate so in case you are wondering what they are.

I'm saving up for a Oracle Diversity unit. It's supposedly has more features than anyone, actually perhaps more than a pro commercial unit but at a reachable price! (on sale now for $129.95) http://www.dpcav.com/xcart/product.php?productid=16184&cat=103&page=1 But you have to supply two A/V RX.

aahhh ok I see,,,but if you were going to spend the $$$ on thet might as well get the diverity rx,,,I have been looking arround and he wants to get everything even the glasses. he's looking into this now https://www.futurehobbies.com/items_detail.asp?item=104.

I also ask the guys at hobbywireless about the gyros on the glasses and therhe's a site thet sells the complete system from China I think for like $800 a little pricy but it would be so cool moving your head for pan/tilt o nthe plane!!!!

Complete set from China? Hmm must be Fat Shark. Anyhow I've seen Oracle develop from the ground up and those who were involved in beta testing thought it was better than their regular diversity units. I guess it's just a matter of choice Either way, it's still better than using just one RX. At the moment I'm hunting down some bare Lawmate modules so I can make my own TX and RX. It would be a fun project and I love to etch my own printed circuit boards.

It came out nice all done by FPV ,,,but landing was ugly!!!! ,,I had the friend who wants to buy the 1000mv staff watching and I think he got conviced he wanted one!!!

I got to make a video where I use in one half the 3.6 and tehn the 2.9mm lens to see the diference.

I didnt noticed much diference from teh last time using the 2.9mm now but mayebe
I should try them bnoth in one time to really see the diference!!!

I sill got to modify my servo to give me more 180 pan I'm only getting 90deg now!!!

Moogly: That curve earth look you are talking about is the fish eye effect. Then you must have a 2.1mm wide angle lens, which is what I just received in the mail. 3.6mm I believe will give you about 30 degrees viewing angle.

Charrua:

Great and successful video! Love the trick flying through the foot ball post and the happy look on your face after the flight!!!!

Modifying the HS 81 servo is easy but doesn't always work, sometimes you have to play with the resistor values. I'm using a 1000ohm on my main pan servo but my spare one uses a slightly higher value. I can't give you an answer why but I guess they are not always built the same. Too high of a resistor value will cause your servo to go nuts, like spin 360 or simply keep on spinning! Or you can buy a 180 servo stretcher at www.servocity.com , but don't forget to cut the gear stopper inside the servo or risk stripping the main gear. Happened to me before.

So are you going to fly by goggle soon? I got mine from VRFlyer and they work awesome! It's the FH-545BK from Future Hobbies and it simulates a 80 inch screen standing 1 meter back. The resolution is awesome for FPV.

yeah man I had a great time it was really fun,,,I tried to do the football post trick a second time but i chikened out!!! it was kind of windy and I couldnt keep the plane steady. Man I got to tell you the HH gyro on the elevator helpt a lot keeping the slow stick steady and not jumping up and down like they usually do.

About the googles my friend just bought their NEW HIGH RESOLUTION HEADSET FH-545BK and the 1000mv video tx with the diversity receiver and the 520 camera package they sell.

We'll be installing it on the Easystar and will be using 2 gyros but I think the rudder gyro wont woek as well as if the plane had ailerons,,we were thinking in installing the Easyglider Wing on the Easystar fuse!!!

Does anyone knows if the wing root is the same size and if it will fit in the Easysar fuselage???

Hey!!! Nice set up! Yeah the tilt is not always needed as for me, I removed it as well. On my new Easy Star, I'm working on installing ailerons now. Shouldn't be too hard since it's been done many, many times by others.
