I had a new baby Saturday, March 1, 2003.

Name: Diablo 2000

Weight: 10lbs. 4 ozs

2 X 2 meters.

Powered by a Webra 145 Aero X with a Greves pipe. Controlled by only the finest Futaba servos, titanium rods, Nelson ball links and, of course a 9Z.

This pic was taken after the first flight. Just flew it around and really didn't throw it around hard. The 3D testing will come this weekend.

A new proud papa. Hope the pic shows.

The motor and pipe combo is fantastic. In fact....I got the motor running, we played with the needles a bit, it sounded good, so I just took it off. Flew the plane with less than 3 minutes of run time. Maybe not the smartest thing to do, however the Webra never gave me an indication of a problem.

I got the plane from Espirt, the motor and pipe from Peidmont and all the radio gear and assorted other stuff from Trains & Planes Hobbies in Houston.

I may need some baby sitting services, so we will stay in touch.

I just had one of those too, flew it for the 1st time this past weekend and it flew great. My 1st experience with 2 servos in tail so I have to get the throws so they are equal, but I think I have straightened that out. I have a os160fx on mine. I didn't get header yet so flew it w/o cowl and with that big os muffler but plan on running greve pipe once header shows. will be trimming this month for contest next month.

Is there room on the bottom to run a pipe inside the fuse? I was looking at the pictures on esprit and didn't see any pipe cutout. I'm planning on getting this with an OS1.40RX.

Yes, the plane is designed to have a pipe run though the fuse. There are no directions for this, so its up to you to set it up.

Mine is mounted using some high tech stuff. A piece of 2X4 and bailing wire.
