Status: offline 		OK folks, I've finally got my Spit (I won't mention the manufacturer) pretty much ready for the air. I built outward folding mechanical retracts to mount in the wings but haven't put them in yet. The wing is not "retract optional."

My question is:
Do I maiden with the wire mounts or do I wait till I get the retracts in?

As with most of the ARFs I build I already did some custom work to the engine and plane so to me it's not merely a matter of "who cares? it is only an ARF!".

I have a feeling that if I put her up now I'll never bother with the retracts!

What do you all think?

Status: offline 		Yeah you might be right, once you maiden her now you may be too lazy to put the retracts on! Then its slimy and full of grime, since you got the momentum why not just finish her, watch the retracts close after lift off ...
