Wanted to share a great tip I got from a fellow heli guy, great way to make your MX 400 Pro even better.

1) Pick up the Align extended boom, it won't go all the way into the aluminum tail unit, but goes far enough where it won't pull out. (Don't bother dremmeling out more of the tail unit to make it fit)

2) Make a new longer pushrod out of thin carbon fiber

3) Pick up a pair of Align 325 Woodies

4) You'll notice that the 325's don't sit flush in the stock helimax blade grips...simply take off the plastic pieces off of the stock helimax blades and use them on the Align 325's, perfect fit. (You'll have to use a dremel or drill to elongate the hole in the blade that the screw goes through.
Enjoy

Heli-Max has a longer CF boom you can get, and also an extended belt and rudder control rod. They also have 325mm blades, but they are fiberglass or CF. I have a set of CF blades (haven't used them yet) and they just come with 4 nylon washers (I guess they don't fit the stock blade grips either).

Hehe... The original MX400 blades had thick root doublers on the blades, so the grips are large to fit them. All the newer HMX and aftermarket blades are thinner at the roots; if you buy an MX450 it has aluminum washers to mount the GF blades it comes with (which blades, btw, you should toss immediately).
