i bought a thunder tiger desmosedici ducati motorcycle tuesday and when ever i try to start it it runs for a couple of seconds and then quits, ive done everything i can think of to solve the problem bt it still does it

do i need to plug the filler tube on the fuel tank?

i would say yes, any hole in the fuel system will not allow it to build pressure to push the fuel to the carb

Put an OS A3 plug in it,the supplied plug is not very good,yes plug the filler pipe after filling.
