Having trouble getting full voltage to my glow plug from the remote starter. Any tips from you guys on how to get full power to the glow plug?

Heavier wires? It works, just not very well.

Try moving your glow plug to a different bolt, or find a way to bolt it directly to the engine. Sometimes the painted bolt doesn't want to conduct very well.

Also, if you are usung the bolt to complete the electrical circuit the locktight gives problems too. I use the second wire and clamp it under an engine mount bolt head to eliminate this. Some remote glows only have one wire, I don't use these.

OK, thanks, I will move the wire to the muffler bolt and see if that works. I didn't even think about the thread lock insulating the ground wire.

I just got the TT 3D canopy mount set. THere aren't any instructions.

I can figure out that they mount to the frame, but what holds the canopy on? There aren't any thumb screws or holes for them?

Anyone have a pic of theirs? Yes I have an FRP 3D canopy.

Pretty sure the knurled looking ones go in the hole in the front of the radio tray. Where the Titan kit has the rubber covered standoff with the hitch pins. The others go where the original mounts do. You use the provided cap screws or buy thumb screw if you like.

MX is correct, epoxy the front ones in the holes in front of the battery tray and the others in the std. location. Here are some thumb screws, I think they come 2 to a pack.

Thanks guys, well, since I didn't take your advice BCH I am now replacing the mains shaft bearings. I learned my lesson, something I don't want to do in the near future.

Took some pics, a cut away of sorts....

Thanks, ordered the thumb screws and a Kasama fan. Figured since I got it apart, I'll do that now too.

Tex,

What advice did you not heed? I went back two or three pages but didn't catch it. I don't want to replace any bearings in mine for not following a good piece of info...

Hope everyone else has had some good flying weather this week, been beautiful here in GA and I've been to the field every night since sunday. Nice and quiet around the house, amazing how your flying can progress when the old lady goes out of town and isn't "asking" you to mow the lawn, fix the car, dig a hole, hang a shelf etc!

She "asks" ?????

I assume he's talking about either greasing the bearings during the build, or locktiting the pinion to the pinion bearing.

Here's a few pics of the Kasama fan. Overall the mill quality looks very good and the hub fits the fan nicely with a keyed opening. It is also extremely light.

It can be purchased at GrandRC for $39.

A quick note on the thumb screws for the canopy, they come in a four pack.
