I dont know a whole lot about electrics. But i would think that you wouldn't want to spin the blades much over 2200 rpm, but i dont know that for sure. That just seems like a lot of force on them going much faster.

Wel I tried the new tape and 14mm ball point and it's the same. I am going to rebalance my blades and see if that helps. Will the slightest unbalance cause the issue I am having?

Ok, rebalanced the blades, they were a tad off, about a quarter size piece of electrical tape. I'm going out for and sunset flight. I'll update later.

i doubt that it will effect the gyro enough to cause wag. And i doubt that quater size piece of elec. tape will stay on for very long. Are you sure you have revo mix turned off or set to 0 in your radio?

Ya, revo is INH

I am just going to throw in the towel and get the S9254, I guess the .17sec 5625 is not fast enough.

At 50% the tail wags 12"

I would say that is your best bet. You will have much better performance out of it later on when you need it.

Looks like you are doing well on the flying. I couldn't tell any wagging from the video though.

Once you are below 50%, you are no longer in heading hold mode. Try to set it up to where it is in HH mode (above 50%) at least in idle up. On my gyro, i use to have a problem with it wanting to drift when in a hard climb out or during aerobatics. The fix to this was to increase the linkage ball from 10mm to 14mm out from center on the tail servo. Then, i trashed the futaba gyro tape and bought some 3M double sided outdoor tape. Its a bit thinner than the futaba tape, and stiffer. This made all the difference in the world. My gyro holds rock solid in hard climb outs and aerobatics now with my gain set at 75%.

Not in this case, it depends on the radio and screen you are using to set the gain.

In his case, using the gyro screen and the mode set to GY like the 7c and 9c series, when it says N thats normal mode, A = avc mode (NOR and AVC for the 9c) what you see is what you get.

So A (or AVC) 70 means 70 percent gain in heading hold mode.

That over/under 50 stuff applies to JR radios.

Well after a Intro to Heli Night at my LHS, and after watching "Ray's" DVDs over and over for the past 3 weeks, I have started my Titan. I sat down in front of the TV on Sunday, with the Tx setup DVD, and Paused and hit rewind when required and setup my Tx. and Tonight I have started construction. I had to add some shim to the washout unit as it was a bit sloppy, and sopped there as I need to get a drill bit for reaming out the holes just that little bit more. for that "Kissy Kissy" feel . I Also found out that doing th one way bearing , that a pair of circlip pliers would come in handy. So here is the first pic of hopefully many to come.

Did you read the review in the magazine section? There's lots of building tips in there, and yep, the circlip pliers make life simple.

I set the ring on the shaft and then inserted a phillips screwdriver into the shaft hole to catch the clip if it popped off. It did of course, but landed right back down on the shaft.

Good luck with your build, it starts to get shady towards the end of the assembly so pay attention to the photos.

that review is awesome! Very helpful. Part two gave me some much needed insight into appropriate upgrades for my Titan. Like what's really going to help, and what is just for fun. I want a metal head block and a metal washout assembly. But even as it is, it flies great. Off topic. sorry.....

I agree, as it is it flies quite well. Obviously if you want to increase head speed you'll need metal upgrades.
