Can the GWS Auto cut controllers be used on an Electric C/Line plane..

It appears to have a limiting current of 15A constant current. Beyond that, there actually isn't any description of what it actually is supposed to do. Is it just an on/off switch replacement that also will do something else? and if so, what?
