Status: offline 		I'm about to make the switch from NiMh's to Troy Built -2 cell - 7.4 volt - 2600mah - LG Chem Li Ion batteries. (Same as Fromco)
These batteries will be used in a 33% gas plane.
Can anyone give me advice on how well suited the Accu Cycle Elite charger is to charging the Li Ions?
Do I need to buy another charger?
Any precautions need to be taken?
Can you charge the Li Ions in the plane or do they need be removed before charging?

Status: offline 		The Accucycle Elite will charge Li-Ions, just select the appropriate voltage for the number of cells.

For two cell Li-ion, use the 7.2v nominal voltage in the setup screen (7.4v nominal is for two cell Li-po)

I use it to charge my Fromeco 4800 (2S2P) Rx batt and a 2400 ign battery and it works just fine.

I charge in the plane but try to be at least nearby, same or next room.
