Hi,

would RCV/other pilots mind commenting if there's any special technique to best balance a 4-blade prop? Are they less prone to vibration than 2-blades? I've gotten great results using a GP hand-held balancer w/2-blades, and planning to finally take the plunge next wk with a 60SP and APC 14.5 x 11 for starters to put in my H9 PTS. I'm thinking you obviously need to "number" the blades to help keep track?

Another question for RCV -

Graves Hobby(Orlando, FL) according to their website has had (2) 60SP's for some time, and they've not responded to my online inquiry as to how old their stock is. Is it possible for you to tell me the last time they took delivery of some 60SP's? Have not been to their store yet as they're a drive from me, so have no serial #'s.

Thanks, Mark

Hi Mark

Thank you for your questions. With regards balancing this is a personal choice, we use a Du-bro balancer on our test props. Yes you are correct 3 bladed props are less prone to vibration. Also numbering the blades will be helpful to you.

In answer to your final question, having checked our records I can see that the 60SP's are likely to be over a year one.

I hope this information is helpful to you.

Best regards

Stephanie
