gsmarino2000 -> Fliton Extra 260 Mini (6/18/2007 12:08:16 AM)

Don't find too much on this plane on RCU yet; I don't know how many are actually flying at this point. Just maidened mine this weekend. Pulled the components from my Mini Funtana. The Fliton mini-260 is worlds better even though it is not that much more wing area. Good knife edges, too. My set up is Park 480, TP 2100, JR mico servos. I did some work to lighten the plane (especially the hatch and hatch mouting areas) and I dispensed with the wheel pants and spinner. A couple of questions: 1. People who are flying this plane: I have the Cg at 2.65" for my first flights (manual specs a huge range of 2.3 to 3.35"), and the plane flies a bit nose heavy for my tastes. What Cg locations are people using for IMAC-style flying and for 3D? I usually try for a compromise between the two. 2. People who are familiar with Fliton planes, how are do you deal with the white covering? The other colors work great and shrink down just as I would expect. The white on the fuse sides acts like it is already shrunk to the limit; I can't seem to get the wrinkles out. Thanks, Greg
