If its the stock motor and 3S then you best get someone with large hands. You will need a very hard toss if not then best to run a bit and toss her. If someone is launching for you make sure they launch her STRAIGHT and not UP, she will stall if its a 3S set up on stock motor. Also, hold a little bit of UP elevator. I think I need to go get No. 2 this week. My LHS sells them as the combo but someone just took the motor and fan unit from them, so I got a kit there!

if you have a computer radio, mix 4mm down ailerons with 3.5mm up elevator for launch.

im 62 years old, flying all stock, using a xcite 3 cell 3000 mah battery 20c with 30c burst.

i hand launch this thing all day, no running, no mixing in anything, just a nice upward toss and this thing goes.

great plane, im having a ball with it. here are some pics with the lights on each wing.

youre right about the color scheme, at the time of these pics the bottom was waiting for my order of

krylon h2o silver spray paint, it now has that cool looking mig paint scheme.

I got No. 2 ready and she will maiden tomorrow morning. Anyone noticed that this plane seems to be pretty nose heavy? No. 1 was the same. I did use the 2 ball bearings but its still nose heavy. With my 4S 2,500 pack its going to be worse.

Also how do you guys seal the fan unit? CA? If you CA it then access will be an issue later on, I am using glass tape to hold it together for the moment. Any suggestions? Thanks!

yea, im using packing tape, you want to be able to get back in there, just make sure you seal all the seams.,

yea, my friends is really nose heavy on 4 cells, i launch it for him, just more of an up angle to get it started, fast as heck.

Tomme ... I sealed it with packing tape, no leaks too. She is ok on 4S but again its hot and humid here. You tried diving her really steep and then pulling level for a low pass near you? Can hear a whooooooooosssss ... as the air rushes into the ducts.
