hey i have a 1/8 scale rc buggy with a .21 engine in it and ive gone through about 8 tanks so far ive broken in the engine correctly and done all that stuff but ive been haveing a problem when i go flat out on the throttle 3/4 it runs perfectly but full throttle i like boggs and makes noices and sounds like its gonna cut out lets of a big puff of smoke and then stalls. i have no idea what the problem there is plently of smoke coming out the engine all the time so didnt think it was to lean so leaned the highspeed needle out about 2/8 of a turn that didnt help anyone got any suggestions for me to get the car working proply again.

From the sounds of things it could be a lean cut This is a bit hard to tell without seeing it for myself. You said you leaned it and it made no difference I would try lean some more on the needle. If this helps then good if it makes it worse then go the other way. This is a good start.

No I don't think you have damaged your engine. I just think you need to tune it properly. There is a tuning guide on this site. Have a search and follow it. Ask if you have questions.

yeah I dont think you could have done anything to damage your engine. Just be patient with your needle adjustments. It can take several minutes each time for the engine to adjust so its easy to get impatient and tune too far on the needles.

Hi, try resetting the carb to factory needle settings, once youve done that you will have e reference point to start at.
At this setting it will run and run rich (ussually), if you can lean it out to the point where you know you get good performance and its still chugging, then consider that the glowplug might be on the blink, I've seen brand new glowplugs do some strange things.....so try a plug change and if that doesnt work you might wanna look for fuel leaks, carbie leaks, exhaust leaks, check your backplate, bearing and all that other fun stuff.
Let us know how you travel and wether anything you do fixes your problem.

also using the wrong type of glow plug can cause this...

what percentage nitro are you using and, is the plug a medium, hot?... is it the long or short plug...
