I'm running an RS4 Pro2 with some modified chasis parts. Since most of my parts are obsolete (why I was trying to buy rc3d's crap) i've had to create my own parts out of aluminum sheets. So I have an aluminum upper support bracket that I made. My next step is to use my dremmel and cut the bottom piece. Works pretty nice if you line up all the screw holes correctly. Should have seen the crash! It was pretty nasty. I must have been traveling better than 50mph racing my buddy when I hit my toolbox and sent it 2 feet in the air & spilling tools everywhere. After the shock, it was pretty funny.

Actually drifting was pretty fun but right now the guys I race with are into mad crazy speed, time and control. We all live in different areas of the Twin Cities and have different tracks that compliments each persons driving style. So it's alot of fun when you can beat someone on their own track. Every once in a while we head out to the the rc drag strip to see how fast our cars a really doing. It's put on by a local hobby shop who keeps trying to get us to buy drag cars. When we know what everyone's doing we'll set up tracks to even up the competition. More shicane to slow the speeders down w/ some straits to play catch up. We've always open our tracks to whoever wants to race. It's always been a 'race what you brought' type of scenario as long as it's 1/10 scale. Usualy draws a nice crowd when we do this. Me and a buddy have been talking about opening up a multi track setup for rc racing. Maybe we'll have to look into something for the drifting crowd. Hmmm. When I get home I'll try to remember to post some vids & pics of our racing.

Oh and I like the pro2 cause right now if you can find one it's pretty cheap. Cheaper than the pro4 and I like belt driven vs shaft.
later.

I'll get these pictures posted yet. I think my work is somehow not letting e-mails from home with pics attached get through. Oh well. I guess I'll have to throw them on cd then load them here. I guess it's monday then. sorry dude. I'll try and get some pics of racing this Saturday also. Later.

Hey tc4

I finally got the pics together check them out.. This is of our slick track we set up inside the warehouse. It's from a years ago when we were trying different setups. guess we were sliding on accident LoL! Next time when we set up the carpet I'll have to get somepics of that too. The newest pics are of my car setup for asphalt. The guys are hating cause I got the down force to stick me to the ground on the high speed corners. I meant to take some pics of last Saturdays racing but got side tracked. Later.

The white borders are thick heavy cardbord angles like this " ^ " to support big pallets of banded and shrink wrapped paper supplies. The warehouse guys were just going to discard them so we thought it would make great borders for a track. We weren't really trying to drift it was all by accident. We were just trying to find someplace to race in the winter. The slick concrete did make it easy to do so. I'll try and find some action vids for ya that will fit the size requirements for downloading on this site. But now in the winter we usualy run on carpet that we keep stored here. Later

I used to work in the ware house like that, and the Upside down V-Shape are rare though, so i just make the track with tape. The good thing is that track is big and easy to slide. hehe
