Why is no one using lipos on the Wheely King? Am I hurting anything by doing so? I have a 4000 ma 11.7 pack that fits perfectly and gives the truck almost twice the power and to top it off, it will run about 30 mins. So far, I havent had any problems, will I???? Thanks for the heads up

I made a bunch of spacers and washers on the lathe today and I went down to the local fastener store and bought $10 worth of 3mm stuff. I think the only thing left unmodded at this point is the tires and the axles (which were shaved a bit). I'm waiting for an AX-10 tranny to get here and then I get to set up drive shafts. 5mm to 6mm I think I might just use Pede shafts and bring the WK diff inputs down to 5mm. I'm going to have to redo the chassis at some point. I don't need the bottom link mount anymore, the chassis is taller than I need, and its really rough. I'm going to draw up my own this time. These are phone pics, I can take better pics of anything if anyone wants.

G'day fellas,
I've had my wheely king for awhile now, just been bashin it with the sons stampede. I've done a little work to it, like made it 4wd, locked the diffs with putty and switched the shock mounting etc etc. I've just been havin fun with it, anyways after a few beers I strapped in my Velineon (EX VXL Rusty) motor and esc for some 11.1V Lipo FUN! to put a long story short when I flipped the battery, I just swapped the pos/neg wires on my esc=motor (i dunno if thats how your MEANT to do it but hey!) when I dropped the brushless in ( after a few beers) I FORGOT about this....

not only did the truck end up taking a wicked big chunk and toe nail off my big toe, it ended up under the missus's 1:1 scale 4WD!

It was petty funny after as all my mates keep tellin me...

OK so its rebuild time! I have ordered rc guy aluminium lockers and steering servo mount, and the novak goat brushless crawler esc and motor.I have a revo so i'll just "lose" the links of that for the suspension (get the flash red ones for the revo) I need advise on a heavy duty steering servo and lipo battery. Also what gearing do you recommend??

I'm not going to be using this as a flat out crawler, mainly hill climbing and bashing in mud and crap.

I think i'll just buy a axial scorpion kit as a crawler and keep the WK as a basher, and sometimes a speed king! LOL

Also the stock tires are sad. I'll dremel them and let you know how they go!

Unfortunately they are pretty hopeless, I took an angle grinder to mine and cut the tread at about 1/2-3/4" intervals... softend up the carcase but they still have no traction....

Check into the pro-line's I am using the mashers and they work very well. I star notched the foam inserts and I also used tire slim inside each front tire nice addition for extra weight as the slim is pretty dense.
