i want rear steering on my wk i see that most everyone with rear steer has the servo mounted on the axle. has anyone used the stock setup for the front in the rear? it looks like theres enough room for me to stick another servo up where the other is and it looks like i should be able to use the same setup as the front as far as the horns and such has anyone done this?

I hate to beat a dead horse but after running this weekend I ruined another esc. My mamba 25 has suddenly rendered useless after running through the water. I know that I am not ovewrloading it in any way. I have also seen the vid of one running underwater. I give up I am sure now that they are not all entirely waterproof. So beware everyone.

p3313r,
I have a wheely king with four wheel steering set up on it. I used most of the stock hardware and mounted the servo with double stick tape to the battery tray. It has worked okay so far but you should know that because of all of the slop in the linkages the rear end wanders significantly at speed. I would recomend using aluminum hardware and bearings wherever applicable.

Hello all. Im trying to get into rockcrwaling. I know the scorpion is a better crawler out of the box but i dont want to buy the assoceries.
My question is, That i read the first couple of pages and learned about the mods like locking the diff and extending. What i want to know is, is all those mods free or do i have to buy extra stuff.

To lock the diff all you need is some epoxy, so if you have some it is free (kinda). extending the wheel base requires materials and hardware and unless you already have it or you know somewhere to get it free, you will have to buy it. Check out Rccrawler under Wheely King to get more info.

I was wondering what I would have to do to extend the WK?

I'm not attempting to crawl. Just make a trail truck out of the wheely king.

The HPI guide shows you how to turn your WK into a trail rig...........not a crawler. Even if you don't want to do the chassis flip you can still follow the guide to lengthen it.

Finally finished my King. Stretched it, reversed the pumpkins (battery tray in front) , locked the pumpkins with poster putty (locking these are a must) , boggers glued to the King rims with "NO FOAM" in them (works killer)! Silverado body and taller body mounts so flexing doesn't mash the tires into the body! This thing Krawls over everything.

These are just cell phone pics since thats all I had after finishing today. I'll post more from the digital camera later.
