Delta Mike -> Sonic charger (6/19/2007 2:39:03 PM)

Dear A123,

I just purchased a Sonic charger and it sounds like something is loose in side, I tried to open the ends but they don't budge... Should I send it back to you or horizon?

Also, I plan on putting these cells in a 30% airplane un-regulated. Can I safely charge these batteries through the smartfly charge/switch using the Sonic charger? By the way what is the charge rate on this charger?

Dennis

Hello Dennis,

It sounds like the Heatsink of the charger may have come loose. It must have been dropped during shipping somewhere. You can send it in to us to get it repaired, or if you are a do it yourselfer you can peel the labels on the endcaps back, remove the 4 screws, and use some thermal glue to refix the heatsink.

If you would choose to send it in for repair please contact customersupport@a123racing.com

Our appologies for the inconvenience.

Brian
