here it is with the canopy mounted. I just have to set the pitch and thottle curves, add the tail blades and tail rotor pushrod. The new radio stuff works great! The T6EX is very easy to program, although I can't just see everything one one screen, an entire pitch curve, for example. like on my 9C. There is a different screen for each of the 5 pts. No big deal, its still just numbers.

I know, I know...... I was out of monocoat trim sheets and without a local LHS, it wasn't worth the order. *sigh*

Looking pretty sharp - but how does it fly?

Chaz,
I'll probably hover it in the yard today or tomorrow just to let the main gear and belt run in a bit, and also to make sure everything's right. I'll do the real maiden tomorrow night at the local heli club's weekly flying session. Here's the final pic. More work than it needed to be, due to the lame instructions and some odd parts, but it turned out ok. This site isn't letting me upload the picture. I'll do it later. Check back, because it looks sweet!

Allright, so I got some flights in. Yesterday I flew a few times and had some issues, some stuff to work out. I found the washout arms weren't parallel to the grips which was causing a bit of interaction. And with no slop in the CCPM, no slop in the linkages or servos and a little error caused a big problem. So it was fast and all, just kind of goofy. So I fixed that and today,,,,,, BABY!!!!!!!!!!!! Rock on! now this thing is groovin. So I cranked up the cyclic and wow! Its on rails. It flips so, so fast but smooth at the same time. My first stall turn was a 900, felt great. I did a piro flip but the piro rate is so much faster than my titan I messed it up. Inverted forward flight is like too easy. Holding the shape of the arc and altitude is a no brainer. Stationary rolls and aileron tic tocs were great. No tendancy to drop the tail. I did some elevator tic tocs and bogged it a bit, gotta get used to the collective setup. All in all, I'm really pumped about this heli. The feel of that T6EX radio is sweet, too. Everything worked great on it. I think more value minded pilots would really benefit from it. Easy to set up, DOES have sub trims and works great. The only thing I don't like about it is the throttle hold pitch curve is taken from normal mode.

Yeah, I've been thinking about that. I'll try and put something together.

I've been very curious about this heli. It looks pretty nice. What I'm wondering is what is the difference between the sport version and the 3D version besides the big jump in price?

Looking forward to the video.

-Pat
