I just ordered a knight 50. Reviews are great vids are impressive and the price is amazing! Its an all plastic heli with a metal head block and 120 degree CCPM on the cyclic. Supposed to be similar in head design as the Evo 50. Its apparently quite tough and 3D capable. I'm looking at it as a modern version of a Raptor. Like a knock around 3D heli with a more modern design. I'll do 401/9254 on the tail and I'm not sure on the cyclic. Got a bunch of hitec digitals sitting around but we'll see. Hyper 50, Mav Carbon Pro blades which are really stiff, and Heliproz was out of Radix when I placed the order.... It should be here tomorrow. I'll post lots of pics so folks can see what this new bird is all about. BTW, they have a Knight 50 3D which is truly impressive. I'm thinking this thing will be the next big deal in the .50 class. So why didn't I get the 3D? I really wanted something to replace my Raptor Titan in my stable. Nothing wrong with it, just lots and lots of them around here. So I wanted to go plastic and cheap. Something I wouldn't be afraid to throw around. I was looking at the 50 3D and imagining how careful I would be with it. What I need is a killer practice heli. Both helis are really cheap. The Sport is only $260!!!!! The 3D is $450. And trust me, for what you get its an unbelieveable bargain. But like I said, for this summer I want to fly and get better. That 3D is probably in my future. Its just too nice to ignore. But the weather is great and I saved plenty of money to buy fuel. Its time to rock!

You'll like it, theres a couple of them around here, a sport and a 3d thats being built. They come out light which for this size is good, somewhere around 7 1/2 lbs, my Titan is 8lbs 6oz dry.

Guys, the Knight is here! Really looks nice. Plastic is very strong. I read carefully the review on Motion Unlimited by Eric something, sorry can't remember, and there were some minor issues that appear to have been corrected. For example, on the review sample there were sharp edges on the plastic. None on mine. Box was plain cardboard, mine has pretty pictures and spiffy packaging. Tail slider is awesome! Head has a metal block Which goes all the way through to where the button should be, but there isn't a place to put a button. The head block is housed ina plastic case of the same material as the blade grips. The assembled head was shipped in its own bock with a couple of inches of foam cut to shape. Frame is modular, with servos in the from piece much like a Raptor. This plastic seems much tougher than the Raptor stuff, though. The boom servo mount is made of platic but its really strong. Just like the fins, which have 3D cutouts. Not using carbon in these areas was a money saver. Canopy seems to be the same stuff as a Raptor but it looks way way cooler. Tail rotor, main rotor, fan/clutch assemblies are completed. Main frame is assembled with the clutch bell and belt gear plus main shaft bearings installed. Ok, I'll post a couple of pics. I should post like 30, but I'd much rather get started than play reporter. First impression is this heli is a really good deal. An honest value. oh, and the decals are stupid. They're always stupid. Not gonna use them. I'm going to get some monocoat florescent trim sheets and make my own.

I got it at heliproz. Since it was so cheap, tomorrow I'm going to order 3 9252's for the cyclic and a duralite regulator (5.3) and li Ion redundant pack. I believe its a 4300. he he.... this one's gonna come out nice I need some decent tail rotor blades, too. The ones that came in the kit are laughably flexible.

I know I heard very good things as well from Heliproz about the Knight series when I was looking into nitro. They all seemed to prefer it over the Raptors. Looks good so far, you'll have to fill us in on how it flies!

ok, Duralite 5.3 volt regulator, 4300 mah li ion, three 9252's and a Futaba 6 ch 2.4 mhz system all on the way! This is gonna be one sweet bird!
Chaz, yeah its definitely a plastic heli, but more modernized with the CCPM and metal head block. Looks really easy to setup and work on, too. Heliproz is already listing a bunch of parts in stock, so it looks promising. I've got a fixed wing contest this weekend so no time for helis until after that Good thing I have to wait for all this new stuff..... I'll post more build pics next week.

This thing is going together easy and the parts quality seems good. Side bar on the radio I ordered... I wanted to try 2.4 and it looked like a cheap way to give it a go. I didn't realize when I ordered it it doesn't have sub trims. Not that big of a deal since I like to take care of that mechanically anyway. But if its too much of a pain I'll just run this thing on my 9C and put the 2.4 in my trex. I think it wil be ok, though.

The 6 should have trim memories though so you can run more models... I think you press two buttons at the same time and it memorizes the trim and you can recenter them....

You're right, Evan. It can hold up to 6 models. Thanks for letting me know. I think it will be a good little radio and I want to give it a try in teh Knight. I wanted to do something with the canopy and milk bottle style canopies don't take paint well so I compromised. I painted the underside of the windscreen black. Because its a big, wrap around windscreen this will increase visibility a good deal. And it gives it more of a professional look than stock. I'm not cutting the hole out for the wind screen in the canopy because this will help protect the paint

Looking good so far! I've got to say though, your patience amazes me. When I get something new, I've gotta crank it out until I'm done, no matter how much I hate it. On that note, I spent 13 hours straight the other day building my new Airfoilz Yak 54... Oy!
Regards, - Chaz
