Ok I wanna have a lil contest... well call it breaking the sound barrier or something like that. ok the rules include no bigger than a .40 size engine, the wing must be made or coroplast (if you want to use balsa as you ailerons so you wont have the flutter problems thats fine), and other than that if you wanna be named the man with the fastest spad we have to have video evidence... alright I just thought this would be fun so everyone good luck

Oh yeah one more rule. dont go and copy a plane off of spadtothebone or anything like that I want this to be a plane that evry designs themselves and doesnt just copy it from some plans. and I forgot to put this in the rules earlier too the fuselages can be build out if anything. once again good luch

I think I'm already there, at least I really feel the need to go faster. Still I'll have to see if I can get some video for you. I think my Ddust would have gone faster if it would have been straight, but my Flipper flies too easily to worry about something ore finicky.

I have to say, I would think the Flipper is the fastest Spad I have seen to date. On a moderately windy day, and on a downwind pass, I bet it does 150+ m.p.h.

Of course, there was that Turbine powered Spad from Canada. Not sure what the speeds were, on that one though.

Later,
Omaha

I don't think current designs should be excluded. Anything one builds is going to resemble something on spad-to-the-bone or spadworld.net.
