We generally use a 30 foot long streamer, about 3/4 to 1 inch wide. To attach to the plane, we use a 5 foot or longer string, tie the string to the streamer, then to the plane. Guys use a number of different ways to attach to the planes, and in general they don't interfer with the control surfaces (rudder? I think I've heard of one...) Seriously, most combat planes don't have rudders, just 3 channel control

On planes like the SPAD Dogfighter with it's round tail, you can simply tie a slip not and loop it over the tail, makes a quick hookup. On others a loop from under the tail, over the fuse and back under the tail and then tie will keep it on. It may be a long piece of streamer, but it doesn't affect the forces on flight that much. It DO increase drag so if you land with a full streamer, make your approach a bit steeper, but it's no big deal. Don't tie it around your pushrod and clevis junction though. Don't need someone yanking on your streamer to disconnect your controls.

Well, I don't know where you are in PA (didn't look up that town), but you can drive down here to Laurel, MD, we have a few contests scheduled each year. We have one more left this year, in November. There are also contests coming up in Front Royal,VA and Salisbury, MD. Those might or might not be too much of a drive for you.

Hi Alex. I wasn't sure if it was you, or someone else in the area looking to fly combat who I could point in your direction.

An OS 32sx carb has a bigger bore (venturi) than an OS 25fx.

There is a thread here in combat about putting a 32 sx carb on a
25fx to get a performance increase because of the bigger hole. (don't say it!!)

So it would stand to reason putting a smaller carb on a 32 would make you slower.

But please go ahead and do it, and can I adjust your needle valve too ?? LOL

Thread is called " OS 25FX, how to get more power" is presently on page 2 as of 08/07/07.

Thanks a lott! I can do this(needle valve) .The reson of my question - limited size of engine for "Open B" class.
In OS engines we have not to many choises OS , 25 or OS -32.And as far i know I can't use a 32 for competition.
