it looks like your front wheels are smaller than the back, are they?

ps. if they are then if you haven't you should disconnect them from drive, take out the front tranny ect. so that you don't ruin your tires & diff rings & F/R tranny pinions from the difference in tire rpm/distance ratio. you'll be able to do sick wheelies too (take out the front driveshafts also)

BTW, that looks awesome dude, you really nailed that street look

EDIT: also, i think that for just driving it around in the streets & parking lots you should take out the front tranny and front driveshafts & front center cv driveshaft, that'll lower rotating mass, & front weight, allowing better wheelies & higher speeds, but your back tires might skid alot that way, idk whatever suites you + you can always put that stuff back in if you don't like it.

ps. i noticed that in the picture with all the exhaust smoke, the back is facing the camera and there the back wheels look smaller so nevermind about the are your front wheels smaller stuff

i think it'd be pretty awesome with 1/8 truck standard wheels in front & 40 series in back (with the front tranny stuff removed) if you can find the same rims in 1/8 truck size, i know road rage tires come in that size. i think that that style would fit the buggy body + it would give you good turning & be drag-style

I had asked this question before but it looks like they (the mods) took it down for some reason

I Looked over those other pics you posted and i wanted to know where the hell u got such high pinion gears from? i've been looking all over find a higher gear ratio other then the 18x26 that came stock

Also, you have a great idea with the buggy car body. Losi or proline or hpi or someone should make a 1/8 Buggy body that can fit on MTs

not sure what thread its in but suga free can tell ya but you can get +2,+3,+4,+5,+6 pinion gears that go on the stock cb if it is the one where the gears screw on after i think +3 you have to mod the engine mount a little

In Reply to all:

Brothers,

Thank you for your words of encouragement. This truck was built from the input from this forum and I thank you!

The tires and rims are all the same size. Pro-Line (1104-00 Tire / 2670-01 Rims)

I do understand that removing the front drive will increase overall performance, however I did not remove the front drive because it would down play the goal that I was trying to achieve.

The pinion gears came from http://www.1320.4t.com/custom2.html
And the transmission gears came from Team Associated (25022). You may use either gear (the bigger the faster).
30T or 26T on your AFT
30T = 1.46 to 1
26T = 1.75 t0 1
The link to the Super Trans conversion is: http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/m_6509943/anchors_6509943/mpage_1/key_/anchor/tm.htm#6509943

Correction in past postings:
According to the a excel spreadsheet found at a lstforums site http://lstforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=349 the truck should hit 46.6 mph not 55 mph with 40 series tires and close to 61.6 not 70 with the stock tires. The error was engine rpm – I used 33,000 rpm and I should have used 28,000 rpm.

Tonight I decided to unleash HELL and purchased a Dynamite Mach 28. Again my purchase was based on your input. I hope I don’t regret not buying an LPR…? When I get the results of this upgrade I will make a new posting to include every upgrade for your convenience.

Thanks for your continued support!
