Status: offline 		I was just looking for battery packs and I cant find a good site that sells saddle packs or individual sub c cells for my car i was hoping people could put links to their favorite sites.

Status: offline 		Radical is the best place ti purchase battery stuff but I have heard people complain about hte web site ordering system. If you want seamless ordering go to Tower. If you want goos service and good advice, Call Dave.

I'm waiting on my second order. The first took over 3 weeks and 5 phone calls, 2 faxes, etc., etc. I like his prices and he comes extremely highly, unbelievably highly, garguantually highly recommended. I ordered 2 batteries from allerc.com and got them a week ago. The same day I ordered 4 servos and an ESC from mountainmodes.com and got them a week ago. The same day I ordered servo extensions and a flight box fuel pump from RadicalRC and almost 2 weeks later I'm still waiting. What gives?

I know Dave's a respectable guy. I know he's busy and goes to a lotta shows (How long do those shows last?). I know...I know...I know... I'm tired of knowing. I just want my stuff to show up.

I suppose he could hire a big mail order staff, add a supervisor or two, personnel director, automate his order processing with pick and place hardware . . . . . and charge Tower prices and give canned advice that might remotely address your questions if you are lucky. Or he can continue to give a full orchestra performance as a one man band. I'll keep my business with him knowing that I might have to wait a bit as he serves the rest of modeling needs in a very cost effective manner.

Status: offline 		No question try Radical RC , you might search around and find batteries a buck or so cheaper but Dave Thacker stands by his product. The quality of his products is excellent. I am surprised to hear some of the stories about poor service, my worst wait has been 1 week from order to receiving. I am a repeat buyer and will continue. I have purchased other stuff from All E RC and he ships very quickly.

The PIPE Here again...and even though Dave Thacker IS a rather decent battery supplier, from what people have been saying here AND at RCWatch, I've been ordering from the TNR firm at http://www.tnrtechnical.com/ ...and I have yet to be disappointed by them!

I've gotten just about ALL the batteries I've needed for my flight support gear (lead acid batteries for my starter and my homebuilt "German-ium Secret Glowplug Weapon" 2 volt Hawker lead acid cell powered engine ignition setup) and the Sanyo Nicad and NiMH cells I'm using for my radio gear these days from TNR, and they seem to have just about ALL the cell variety one would need for the RC hobby!

Also, they DO have FOUR outlets (in the US states of CA, FL, NC and OR) which is something I don't think anyone else has yet, so shipping time might not be as much of a concern as it could be with other vendors.

At least there ARE a good number of battery vendors out there to satisfy our needs-and TNR is one I've had VERY good luck with!

Sanyo lists "U", "E", "K", "R" etc. I'd like to find out exactly what they mean. The batterystation link has some pdf files that are nice. For instance, the Sanyo AAC,AAU,AAE,AUL,SCRL and DEL cells list STD-QUICK and FAST for charge rates? I thought the "R" cells were the rapid charge, and the "E" and "U" were just Hi Capacity standard charge types. Thanks_bob
