got out early this morning before some rain came through and got 2 great flights on the extra and then 5 or 6 more this after noon. all i can say is SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tom you have a great flying plane in the 41% extra 300.

with a little triming and adjusting i think i have found a new love.
i have the cg set on the wing tub in the front slot and i think it could be farther back. where do you guys have yours set for best all around 3D and IMAC? it only needed in click of down trim for level flight and no aileron trim needed. when inverted it needs a little down elevator, just a little more than i like but not much.

With my wing on the forward tube, holding the plane for cg at the wing tips at the tube, the tail just starts to drop, thats what I use for IMAC. The landings will settle in and 3 point everytime with the cg a little further aft.

Where are the pictures???

see if this works, i never seem to get the picture thing to work.
Jecarte, that is where i have my cg now so a little farther back should be good for combo 3D and Imac. i don't compete in imac but i love flying the manuvers and this plane will get er done.

i have been flying a 102 inch QQ yak for some time and it will take a great flying plane to take me away from it but the wild hare has a good chance. i think after a little triming and a few adjustment and time on the sticks this plane will do it all with style.

3 more flights tonight and started working on mixes, it won't need much. i had the covering come loose around the can tunnel exit, i must not have sealed it down good enough when i cut it out. i think i may replace the cans with stock DA mufflers due to having a hard time getting used to not being able to hear the engine at low rpms when othe planes are flying. i have sound problems in our area so a little noise won't hurt and getting the weight down to 38lbs will be a plus. it feel as light as a feather at 39lbs.

Great to hear everthing went well Randy. If you loose a pound up front by going with the stock mufflers, and you already have pull-pull instead of the tail, are you going to be able to move the batteries up far enough to keep your CG position you have now?
