Status: offline 		Brass does not tarnish in the desert, send them to me, and they will be ready in about a week.
Seriously, look at some Model Railroad forums, I bet you can find some info there. A lot of the stuff they use is brass.

If you have a stained glass shop in your area, drop by and ask them for some "patina" that works on brass. It's liquid, just brush it on, it will give the brass an antiqued look. You can also try gun bluing. Both products contain selenium, and are toxic, so wash your hands after you use it.

Status: offline 		Phoney antque dealers used to dump newish brass stuff into cow manure and piss. This aged and tarnished the brass like nothing else and yuppies bought it up like crazy. If your in the city, this technique may be difficult.
