Can some of you guys put some pics of how you have your throttle linkage hooked up? I think Akular1 is a little apprehensive about hooking the throttle up. I will post some of the way I have mine and see if that helps him some but got to take them first. I am sure he would appreciate any help. He is running the 125 and mine i moved the servo as close to the fusealge side as possible and did like Grandad and used a rod that was long enough. Used an ez connector on the throttle arm at carb and that set it out a little more. I am sure we all did this a little differently and more pics might give the man better idea of how he wants to do this. Hey Grandad. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaats up.

edited to add pics: also I think i turned my carb over. The other side had the predrilled hole and this one as you can see i drilled lol. The pic of the rod running beside fuel tank did not turn out very good. But there is the throttle rod beside the tank in that pic. Hope this helps. You can also see the foam I put to tighten the wing. And you can see the foam i used to raise the tank aslo. I moved it some so i could get a better pic but did not help . Be sure to set your wings down in place to make sure it does not hit the tank and happy flying you will love this plane. Man like above it lands so easy and with your 125 half throttle is all you really need will hover at 3/8 throttle and pull out is straight up or sideways or down depends on if you fly like myself pull outs for me are usually sideways and then up One pic is of the carbon fiber rods i installed. Aslo you can barely see the onboard. And i have two a 600 and 2000 nicad batteries in mine. One for the glow and the other for the servos and stuff. Also i use a voltwatch inside the canopy. Might not be a bad idea and cheap ins. But definetly not needed other than piece of mind.

Hi Kid

Thanks so much for your post and your pictures! I will do what I can to get this to fit evenly. I have spent the last week trying different malleable throttle linkages that would somehow allow me to position the linkage without interfering with the fuel tank. Alas in the end, I want unsuccessful. I was not aware that I could flip the carb over. I will give this a shot, and try and zbend at the throttle arm on the engine. Once again, thanks so much for your help!

I tried doing the Z bend thing, then one of my friends suggested doing a U and it works perfectly. See attached.

This is using the stock throttle guide and tank position.

Hi There,

Thanks for the photo! Assuming I try the U, did you have to create a zbend to have it fit into the linkage at the end?

Thanks so much!

I did a small angle Z bend at the servo end to align the pushrod with the throttle tube. I used a pushrod connector at the servo so that I could easily adjust the throttle to get full open and full closed adjusted properly. I did have to use a long servo arm to get my carburetor to open and close fully.

Sorry the picture is so blurry, I was standing on a latter with the plane hanging from the celling in the garage.

I did not have to use any Z bends at all. Just ran the rod thru from the carb side to the servo, and then moved the servo to where it needed to be. I had a long servo arm but was getting way to much movement. I cut an alum. arm off so it would not hit the fuselage and wamo was pretty straight to the carb. I did drill my own hole in the firewall though. Now my problem is my motor seems as though it just does not want to run for some reason. I am getting a bad flooding problem. I have ran the fuel line up and around to try to keep it from flooding but that has not worked. Lost at this time lol.

I had a problem with my 100 flooding. Found that if I keep the throttle stick in the closed position, except when chocking, that doesn't happen so much. Once I got the engine tuned up it doesn't seem to have that problem. I think with the needle valve rich and the throttle stick up fuel can just run into the carb.

It took a while, but when I got my 100 tuned, it runs very good. Not bad for an e-bay purchase.

Never thought to just move the servo over . I learn a lot from these boards.

Hey everyone,

This website is a wealth of information, and I'd like to thank everyone for their help. Unfortunately, I have come across another situation with the landing gear on this airplane. One side of the gear is fixed in perfectly after I tighten the screws to lock them down. The other side of the gear, however, is still very loose after I have tightened them down. I noticed that there are 4 openings at the bottom of the airplane to allow me to view the screws. I think its important to try and get nuts tied on the back side of the screws. The only problem is, I dont have a screw set tight enough to get into the holes! A locknut itself barely gets through the hole! By wiggling the gear, I can see that all it needs are nuts to tighten them down. The instructions, however, dont ask you to do this, and Im not sure if I received a set that had a flaw in it. Any ideas ?

Thanks so much!
Andy K

Andy you must have bad screws are they are too long and hitting something.Did your T-nut come lose and are turning on you? That can happen if you get A bad screw! I don't douth you have the right screw but some time I pick up the wrong one and sweer i have the right one.but that is me and I say that with inply too you. I think if you got your tank out you can see the T-nuts better and see what the problem is hope this helps.

Thanks so much for your post. I double checked everything, and they definately are the right screws. The other side of the landing gear is a nice tight fit, but on the one side they are loose. Not sure if I may have something else wrong internally within the fuselage.

H9-Frenzy. I bought one a couple of months ago, and have about two gallons of fuel through it so far. Thats with a Saito 1.25 and a 15x4W APC prop.
Its' an awesome airplane despite the color scheme. It'll do anything you ask of it, and probably more. Only issue is a frame vibration that I can't get rid of. Any help on vibrations?????????
